IT ALL STARTED WITH A JAR OF PEANUTS AND A CAN OF COFFEE...
Esprédo emerged from the mind of a college sophomore who decided that he wanted to eat his caffeine. Fortunately, he was studying food science. A quick run to the convenience store, a bag of peanuts and a can of coffee were all it took to prove that there was more to it than that.
So the journey began. He spoke to baristas, questioned roasters, pestered passersby until he found the perfect bean for the task: Thunderkiss Coffee’s single-origin Columbian… wait for it… medium roast. Boom. Classic coffee flavor? Check. Hints of chocolate? Bet your ass. Bitterness? We don’t hold on to bitterness, and neither should you.
Peanut butter and coffee. It wasn’t a thing. Now it is. And it’s awesome.
What is Esprédo?
It’s pretty simple: Esprédo is a coffee peanut butter spread. You can spread it on anything, really, but we think it’s best to spread it on food you’re not opposed to eating.
Esprédo does have caffeine. In fact, that was one of the reasons we created it. Each serving contains around 70mg of caffeine, which is around 80% of what you’d get in a standard cup of coffee.
Esprédo doesn’t require refrigeration, so feel free to keep it as close to you as possible. Maybe take it with you on trips.
Some specifics for the coffee part: we use premium, single-origin coffee beans imported from Colombia and roasted by Thunderkiss Coffee in Columbus, Ohio.
Some specifics for the peanuts part: we use peanuts.
And yes, we only have the one flavor right now. We know, we want more options, too. But these things take time, so you’re just going to have to subscribe to our updates to find out when we release new stuff.
